On the occasion of World Population Day (11th july,2026) the Department of Community Medicine, Adesh Medical College & Hospital, organized a public awareness programme at UHTC Shahabad.
The awareness session was conducted by Dr. Raman (PG2), Dr. Anupam (PG1), Department of Community Medicine, Adesh medical college & hospital.
The activity highlighted the importance of population stabilization, family planning, and reproductive health as key elements of community well-being. Through an interactive health education session, the participants were informed about the benefits of responsible family size decisions, timely access to reproductive health services, and the role of preventive practices in improving family and community health. Their queries were addressed to strengthen understanding and encourage active participation.
This initiative is expected to improve awareness within the community, promote informed decision-making, and encourage positive behavior change toward healthier family practices and long-term population control.
