World Asthma Day 2026 Observed with Awareness Program at Village Rawa

The Department of Community Medicine, Adesh Medical College & Hospital, Mohri, Kurukshetra observed World Asthma Day on 5th May 2026 at Rashtriya Varisth Madhyamik Vidhyalaya, Village Rawa, Shahabad. The event was organized on the theme: “Access to anti-inflammatory inhalers for everyone with asthma – still an urgent need.”

The program was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Vikrant Prabhakar, Professor & Head; Dr. Sushil Dalal, Professor; and Dr. Roopak, Senior Resident.

A health talk was delivered by Dr. Nisha Bhardwaj and Dr. Manjot Kaur, PG Residents, along with MBBS students. The session focused on early identification of asthma, its symptoms, triggers, timely treatment, correct inhaler usage, and common myths, with special emphasis on creating an asthma-friendly environment.

An interactive session was also held, where students actively participated and their queries were addressed.

The program concluded with the message:
“Breathing is life — with awareness and care, every breath can be easier.”

The event successfully spread awareness and encouraged better asthma management in the community.
