The Department of Community Medicine, Adesh Medical College & Hospital, Mohri, Kurukshetra, celebrated World Malaria Day on 25th April 2026.
An awareness session was organized in the slum area of Sikligar, Indra Colony, Shahbad, under the guidance of Dr. Vikrant Prabhakar, Professor & Head, Dr. Sushil Dalal, Professor, and Dr. Dheeraj, Senior Resident, Department of Community Medicine.
The session was conducted by Dr. Vineet Saini, Dr. Manjot, Dr. Rupa Sharma, and Dr. Abhinav (PG1) with the help of Dr. Abhimanyu (PG3).
Residents were informed about the causes, symptoms, transmission, and prevention of malaria. Emphasis was laid on cleanliness, avoiding water stagnation, and using mosquito nets and repellents.
The programme witnessed active participation from community members and successfully spread awareness regarding malaria prevention and control.
