🌍👁 World Eye Donation Day 2025 Observed at Adesh Medical College 👁🌍

Adesh Medical College & Hospital proudly celebrated World Eye Donation Day with an impactful awareness program organized by the Department of Ophthalmology in collaboration with the Department of Community Medicine.

💡 The event, guided by Dr. Vikrant Prabhakar (HOD, Community Medicine), along with Prof. Dr. Sushil Dalal (Community Medicine), Prof. Dr. Jaya (Ophthalmology Department), and coordinated by PG Residents *Dr. Sheena, **Dr. Vijay Vivek Sharma, and **Dr. Nisha Bhardwaj, focused on raising awareness about the *importance of eye donation and corneal transplantation.
🗣️ A series of insightful Health Talks were delivered by senior faculties including Principal Dr. N.S. Lamba, Medical Superintendent Dr. Gursatinder Singh,Director Dr. Guntas Singh Gill, Er. Gurfateh Singh Gill, DMS Dr. Vikrant Prabhakar, DMS. Dr. Naresh Jyoti, and Dr. Monu Dalal, Senior Resident, Community Medicine, inspiring many attendees to pledge their eyes for donation. A moving testimonial by Anmol Malik *, in memory of his Late mother Smt. Rashmi Malik. who donated her eyes, deeply touched the audience.
🎨 A Poster Presentation Competition by MBBS students and interns added creativity to the campaign, judged by a panel of experts.
🙏 The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Prof. Dr. Jaya (Ophthalmology Department), acknowledging the efforts of all HODs of different departments and all contributors. Special thanks to Er.Sunita Sirohi (IT Dept.) and Mrs. Pinki (OPD Dept.)*Mrs Suman Mall ( Organ Transplant Coordinator )for their excellent support with IEC materials.
💙 Several participants took the Eye Donation Pledge, reinforcing their commitment to the gift of sight.
