ADESH WELFARE SOCIETY is a society registered under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 vide Regn. No. 1125 of 1992-93 was incorporated with the laudable objective of advancement of Education and Research & Development relating thereto and to create facilities for the same.
The ADESH WELFARE SOCIETY® is promoted by well educated professionals and citizens of the area with good financial and academic background. This Society is taking up the Adesh Medical College & Hospital project at Mohri, Kurukshetra to serve this most backward northern Haryana comprising northern Haryana districts and adjacent districts of Punjab & Himachal Pradesh.
The Society’s Mission is to bring standard health care within the reach of every individual while committed to the achievement and maintenance of excellence. With this aim, the Society has embarked upon the Medical College Project so as to augment doctor-population and make available the standard medical facilities to the people of Malwa belt i.e., southern Punjab region.
In furtherance of the main objective, the Society is desirous of establishing a Medical College namely ADESH MEDICAL COLLEGE & HOSPITAL at NH-44, Vill. Mohri, Tehsil Sahabad (M), Distt. Kurukshetra 136135 Haryana whose population and that of neighbouring districts are hard pressed for good medical and health care.
ADESH WELFARE SOCIETY has the requisite managerial talent to establish and run the Medical College. All the Executive Members of the society are experienced and dedicated. Further the society derives its strength from the eminent, well-reputed and experienced staff and professionals. With the full support and vast experience of the Governing Body of the ADESH WELFARE SOCIETY the construction of the modern medical college building with upgraded attached teaching hospital, hostel for boys and girls students and staff quarters could very well be executed within the stipulated time.
The Adesh Group of Institutions, pioneer in healthcare and higher education in medical and technical education came into existence in the year 1990 at Sri Muktsar Sahib, Punjab.
The Group established Adesh University at Bathinda, Punjab under Govt. of Punjab Act No. 6 of 2012 running Adesh Institute of Medical Sciences & Research (estd. 2006) with annual intake of 150 students in MBBS course and MD / MS post graduate courses in various pre, para and clinical specialities recognised by National Medical Council of India / Ministry of Health & FW, Govt. of India.The 750 bedded advanced teaching hospital (estd. 2005) is equipped with all modern diagnostic and treatment facilities in all clinical specialities and super-specialities. For outreached treatment and training facilities in urban and rural areas the institution has established an Urban Health Training Centre and aRural Health Training Centre. The university is also running Adesh Institute of Dental Sciences & Research(estd. 2008) and offering B.D.S. course with 100 annual intake in the campus itself with approval of Dental Council of India / / Ministry of Health & FW, Govt. of India. In addition, there are B.Sc. Nursing with 60 annual intake, Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with 60 annual intake and GNM with 100 annual intake under approval of Indian Nursing Council; Bachelor in Physiotherapy with 60 annual intake; M. Pharmacy in Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Chemistry with annual intake of 18 seats each; and B. Pharmacy with annual intake of 60 seats and other Paramedical and Biomedical programmes in diploma, degree and masters degree level with annual intake of 300 students.
Adesh Group is running Adesh Hospital and Research Centre (estd. 1989) at Sri Muktsar Sahib as a 750-bedded referral hospital having all specialities & some super-specialities. This hospital is the only of its kind in the region and offers integrated services in multiple specialities with facilities like Advanced Trauma Care, ICU, ICCU etc. etc. The Group added Adesh Cancer Hospital (estd. 2003) at Sri Muktsar Sahib which is the very first and well equipped super-speciality oncology hospital catering to the population not only of Punjab but also northern India. The Group added Adesh Institute of Medical Sciences (estd. 1991) at Sri Muktsar Sahib offering Nursing (ANM 60 seats, GNM 60 seats, Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing 45 seats, B.Sc. Nursing 60 seats and M.Sc. Nursing 10 seats), BPT 60 seats and other Paramedical programmes with a total annual intake of 250 students in Diploma, Graduate and Post Graduate programmes.
The Group is also running three engineering colleges: i.e., Adesh Institute of Engineering & Technology (estd. in 1995) in Faridkot, Bhai Maha Singh College of Engineering (estd. in 2002) in Sri Muktsar Sahib and Adesh Institute of Technology (estd. in 2012) in Gharuan, Chandigarh offering professional courses in the field of engineering, technology and management with annual intake of 1600 students in graduate and post graduate programmes. The group is also running two polytechnic colleges Adesh Polytechnic (estd. in 1995) in Sri Muktsar Sahib and Malwa Polytechnic (estd. in 2003) in Faridkot which are offering diploma in technical education with an intake of 1320 students per annum.
Total number of students enrolled under the ambit of Adesh Group of Institutions is about 14000. There are more than 1600 teaching faculty and 2200 non-teaching staff presently on roll at various levels. In addition to these, the Adesh Group is providing indirect employments to few thousand people in the region.

AIMS & OBJECTIVES OF THE SOCIETY
- The aims and objectives of the Adesh Welfare Society are as follows:
- To establish any type of Educational Institute / University for the benefit of public at large viz. Medical, Dental, Ayurvedic, Nursing, Para-Medicals , Technical, Economics, Commerce , Management , Basic Sciences , Humanities, Social Sciences, Environment Sciences and Other streams/ sciences which emerge from time to time .
- To promote the cause of service to mankind by setting up good hospitals particularly in the field of Cancer.
- To raise own, manage, and administer the institutions for the uplift of the unprivileged section of the messes at large.
- To make arrangement for adult literacy especially for women, schedule caste/ schedule tribes, handicap and other weaker section of Society.
- To create awareness concerning ill effects of drugs and alcoholism and to make the efforts to treat the person who are indulged in drug abuse and alcoholism.
- To make programme related directly to raise the mental horizon of the unattended sections.
- To arrange the infrastructure / programmes/ facilities for the rehabilitation of the riots victim, handicapped, jertic wings (old men & women).
- To arrange the health education programme for weaker section, handicapped etc.
- To provide charitable educational facilities to unattended section of the Society.
- To arrange small projects for maintenance and objects of the Society and for the welfare of the needy humanity at large.
